In collaboration with Jo Hellier
Flood Plans explores the ecology and behaviour of rivers as a lens to examine human agency starting with interpersonal relationships and spanning out to our relationship to the non-human world.
Flood Plans is a series of sonic experiments (composed by Yas Clarke), mixing samples from rivers and storms with voice and synths, with video works made by me. This sonic and visual landscape is punctuated with high-energy choreographic explorations, a fight, a cuddle, a dance - exploring ‘flowing together’ as two bodies and the wider socio-political complications of going with the flow or choosing to resist it.
Presented at In Between Time 2015, Arnolfini, Buzzcut and Forest Fringe.
Flood plans has also been presented as a sound and video installation at The Trinity Centre, Centre Space Gallery and the Cube Bristol.
